About Diane

“We are all of us Stars and we deserve to Twinkle” Marilyn Monroe

Ok, so a bit about me... I'm Diane Bell

Apart from living on the Isle of Wight for 10 years I have always lived in Southampton.

In 2017 my Dad suddenly passed away and I was involved with talking to the funeral directors to plan my dad's farewell. The staff there made the whole process so much easier and nicer than I thought it would be and I came away finally, at nearly 50, knowing what I wanted to do with my life. I wanted to work in the funeral industry!

I started looking into it and realised this was easier said than done as jobs were few and far between. I then went to another funeral led by a Celebrant. Bingo!! This was my dream job.

Training & Qualifications

I started looking into training and decided I would like to do the happier celebrations first and applied to train as a Couples and Naming celebrant.

I am now qualified to the highest standard, having gained a NOCN Level 3 Diploma in Celebrancy (Couples and Naming) with Civil Ceremonies.

And Family Tree Ceremonies was founded

I learnt all about running my own business and named it Family Tree Ceremonies in honour of my Dad that loved researching the births, marriages and deaths in our family. I performed my first ceremony in August 2019 and loved it!!

I have now also started to study towards my Diploma in Funeral Celebrancy and will be available for funerals from mid-November 2019.

So, when I'm not studying or working with my lovely couples and families I love to travel, read and spend time with my friends, family and my little dog molly (who loves being in my photos as I expect you have gathered).

I have been fortunate enough to see some amazing parts of the world and have some fantastic experiences on my travels.

I hope to hear from you soon and that we can work together to make your day fabulous!!
